Origin,
signed in Karachi.

The Karachi Chamber issues the certificate of origin per consignment. The crop still has to be the crop we actually ship.

Port illustration for a Karachi certificate of origin
Zarkaar Group, Shesha Basti Talab, Multan. Updated 2026-10-02.

Each Zarkaar export consignment carries a certificate of origin from the Karachi Chamber of Commerce. Customs desks in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UK, the USA, and Canada expect it beside the phytosanitary certificate.

The certificate states Pakistan origin. It does not move a Sindhri orchard from Mirpur Khas to Multan, and it does not turn Punjab-milled rice into a mill Zarkaar owns. We do not publish a TDAP registration number. Membership numbers stay off this site.

Origin we will sign

The chamber certificate follows the truth of the lot.

Fruit and bulbs

Family Chaunsa is Multan. White Chaunsa is the late Multan and Nawabpur fruit. Sindhri is sourced from Mirpur Khas. Onion is Sindh and Balochistan. The certificate says Pakistan. The variety page says the district.

Rice, corn, cotton

Rice is milled in Punjab. Zarkaar does not run that mill. Corn is sourced from central Punjab. Cotton lint is Punjab. We do not offer staple past 30 mm, and we do not sign that staple as if it were this origin.

FOB and the chamber

Default delivery is FOB Karachi. The inland truck from Multan to the port is fixed on the proforma, not assumed inside the word FOB. The chamber certificate is a customs paper. It is not the freight invoice.

Origin is KCCI, not a story on the bag

The certificate of origin is issued through the Karachi Chamber. It sits with phytosanitary and, on food, Halal. It does not name a partner mill, and Zarkaar does not publish a mill name. Sindhri origin in the orchard sense is Mirpur Khas. Chaunsa is Multan. Rice is milled in Punjab. Onion is Sindh and Balochistan. Corn is central Punjab. The certificate is the paper. The crop page is the place.

A preference scheme such as UK DCTS or EU GSP+ can change the duty your broker pays. It does not replace this certificate, and Zarkaar does not print a duty percent. The importer still files the destination entry.

The default sale is FOB Karachi. The certificate does not make Zarkaar the importer of record, and it does not turn a trade-show listing into a booth. Karachi on this paper is the chamber, not a second shop.
