Watch the seal,
or read the photos.
Name the surveyor before the loading day. The seal number and the photographs are the record. A destination claim has 48 hours.
On stuffing day Zarkaar records the container number, the seal number, and photographs of the load. You may appoint an independent surveyor, at your cost, if that person is named before the day. We do not employ your surveyor, and we do not write their report.
The seal is a lock with a number. We do not publish how seals are built, how a number is copied, or how a lock is opened. If you want to see the seal that will go on your container, the loading-week meeting is the place. “Ask us to show today’s seal” is the whole method.
What the photograph set shows
Enough for a broker and an insurer to see that the declared lot went into the declared box.
- Empty container, including the floor and the doors, before stuffing.
- Lot marks, bag or carton count in progress, and the temperature setting if the box is a reefer.
- Pallet marks where wood is used, so the ISPM 15 check is visible.
- Doors closed and the seal number readable. One seal. We do not stage a second seal for the camera.
Two claim clocks, and they do not mix
Export quality is judged at the destination port within 48 hours. That rule is on our refund policy. Photos, the seal number, and the temperature-logger file, if the lot was refrigerated, are the opening evidence. A surveyor at destination is your appointment. We do not promise a credit before that file exists.
A fertiliser bag, a seed bag, or a feed bag bought at Shesha Basti Talab is a domestic claim. It is judged at the counter within 7 days if the seal is intact. Do not send a torn DAP bag to the exports desk and call it a container claim.
Who may stand on the loading day
You, your named surveyor, and our people. The port authority decides the rest. Karachi is not a place to arrive unannounced. Book the loading-week meeting, and do not bring a group that the terminal pass does not cover.
A missed cut-off because a surveyor arrived late is still a missed cut-off. We will not ask the line to reopen a gate, and we will not describe a way around an inspection.
