Export corn
is heading 1005.90.
Feed and food grain are “other than seed”. A tagged seed bag from the Multan counter is a different heading and a different business.
Zarkaar exports yellow corn as grain. The heading for maize other than seed is 1005.90. Feed grade is the published specification: moisture 13–14 percent, broken kernels 3 percent or less, aflatoxin inside the destination limit. Food grade is the tighter milling, snack, and starch specification. You have to name food grade on the enquiry. Origin is central Punjab, and the grain is sourced.
Seed maize is heading 1005.10. That is not this cargo. Punjab Seed Corporation maize, sold at Shesha Basti Talab, is a domestic sowing bag. We do not empty seed bags into an export container, and we do not declare feed grain as seed to suit a worksheet.
Feed, food, and seed do three different jobs
The truck, the lab sheet, and the buyer are not interchangeable.
Feed corn
Gulf feed mills, Bangladesh feed mills, and Sri Lanka are the live conversations. Sri Lanka is feed only. Bangladesh corn is not the cotton-mill page. A 40-foot high cube holds about 27 metric tons. Bulk starts at 5,000 metric tons. Fumigation is by an approved contractor. We do not publish a dose.
Food-grade corn
Name it. The sheet is tighter, and we do not invent one global aflatoxin number and pretend every country uses it. The destination limit is the limit. The heading family stays grain other than seed unless the agent’s national split says otherwise, and we confirm that split on the draft.
Seed stays at the counter
A farmer in Khanewal buying maize seed for kharif is on the seeds page and the kissan calendar. That sale is cash on delivery, in rupees, and it never becomes a goods declaration under 1005.90.
What a wrong heading would hide
Declaring feed as seed would claim a germination and a tag we did not sell. Declaring seed as feed would dump a sowing bag into a mill. We refuse both. Wheat grain is a third temptation some worksheets add “while the container is open”. Wheat grain stays closed.
The lab sheet does not upgrade feed into food. If the result misses the food-grade ask, we tell you before stuffing, and the contract either accepts feed or it stops.
