Saudi sea cargo from Zarkaar discharges at Jeddah or Dammam. Riyadh and Madinah are inland cities on the buyer’s side. We do not describe them as load ports, and we do not quote a vessel to a dry port as if it were the Red Sea or the Gulf.
Mango on the spec sheet is a 12–14 day sea band, with Halal on every lot. Rice uses the same gates, and retail rice adds SASO. Onion is not on this desk’s list. Ask before a Jeddah onion booking. The load-out on our side remains Karachi, FOB unless the proforma says CIF.
What to write on the order
The port, the crop, and the week. “Saudi Arabia” alone leaves the gate unchosen. A Ramadan rice booking should pick the port six to eight weeks out, with artwork already in the SASO file if the bag is retail.
After the gate
Inland haul inside the Kingdom is the buyer’s move unless a CIF proforma has named a different place, which we do not offer as a standing inland service. Our CIF is ocean freight and marine insurance at cost to the discharge we name.
Pick the Saudi gate before the crop
The search “Jeddah or Dammam” is a port choice. Sea cargo discharges at one of those two gates. Riyadh and Madinah stay inland. Mango on this route is a 12 to 14 day sea band with Halal on every lot. Rice uses the same gates. Retail rice adds SASO before stuffing, and Ramadan volume should be booked six to eight weeks out.
Onion is not on the Saudi list. CFR, if you ask for it, is ocean freight to the named port. It is not a truck to Riyadh. CIF adds marine insurance at cost. Duty, VAT, and inland haul after discharge stay with the buyer. The load-out on the Pakistan side is Karachi or Port Qasim. FOB Karachi is the default. There is no Zarkaar office in Jeddah.
