October in Paris is a milled-rice conversation. Basmati and Super Kernel ship year-round. Private label, Halal, and the question of EU GSP+ belong in the meeting. Chaunsa does not. White Chaunsa has finished. Calling IRRI “basmati for France” will end the meeting.
What to prepare
A retailer and a wholesaler do not need the same bag.
Retail rice
5, 10, or 25 kg. Artwork before stuffing. About 25 metric tons in a 40-foot high cube. If the rice is destined for a Gulf shelf and you are only using Paris as the meeting city, say so. Saudi SASO is not a French filing.
Preference, kept in its box
EU GSP+ may change duty. It is not a phytosanitary waiver, and it is not the UK DCTS. Bring your broker’s intended line if you want us to match wording. We will not print a duty percent in the aisle.
Onion, only as a forward note
November starts the bulb season. An October meeting can reserve a conversation for UAE or Qatar, or for Malaysia and Indonesia as separate rules. It cannot load a container that week from a Paris badge.
Who the meeting is not for
A buyer who needs a French discharge port as a program. We will hear the enquiry and we will not pretend the lane exists. A buyer who wants wheat grain. A buyer who wants USA sea mango explained as a European transhipment. Those three answers are no.
